In an interview to telugu channel Tamil hero Jayam Ravi said "I felt happy after knowing that Charan is doing Thani Oruvan in Telugu. The film will not be spoiled and I am confident about this now. Cherry is a wonderful actor" and My film Thani Oruvan is directed by Mohan Raja and also mention it is one of best films in his career.
